For self-described 'Florida Man' Matthew Heller, not even Hurricane Helene's record-breaking storm surge could stop him from getting his Kayak on. 

In a now-viral clip seemingly captured on a home security camera, the train horn manufacturer decided to catch some waves from the comfort of a Tampa home, paddling his way through the murky waters flooding what may have once been a living room. 

While he appeared to be unphased about the dangers of the stormwater — "I got the chlorine going, so it's good," he told a concerned viewer during an Instagram live — he had one worry: Sinkholes. 

"The foundation of the house, like all this water, is bubbling underneath the foundation, so that's not good," he said, showing a mysterious patch of bubbles breaking the surface across the room. "I think that's, like, how sinkholes happen." 

But even in the unlikely event Heller and his kayak fell victim to a rogue storm sinkhole — or any of the other risks that come with braving a category 4 hurricane — he can at least probably say he died doing what he loved. 

"Florida things," he said with a laugh. "Florida man doing Florida things."
